Based on principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), this 8-week group will focus on skills to assist you in your recovery journey. We will work on creating a more flexible relationship with thoughts and behaviours, with the goal of creating more space in our lives for what we value. Using mindfulness strategies, committed action, and plenty of metaphors, we will work on expanding our identities beyond disordered eating.
Throughout this course you will learn to:
  • Identify what is important to you
  • Unhook from thoughts/stories that no longer serve you
  • Include mindfulness in your daily life
  • Take committed action in your recovery
  • Develop your identity outside of disordered eating
